Abstract

This study examines and proves whether there is an effect of Reward and Punishment on the performance of ASN employees at the SATPOLPP and Damkar district Tanah Bumbu  The population in this study were ASN employees of the SATPOLPP and Damkar district at Tanah Bumbu District, with a population of 60 people.  The sample in this study were ASN employees at SATPOLPP and Damkar of Tanah Bumbu District with  60 participants.  The data analysis technique used in this study was multiple linear regression.  The results of this study indicate that Reward and Punishment simultaneously and significantly affect the performance of ASN employees.  Significantly reward has an effect on performance, but the punishment variable has no significant effect on the performance of ASN employees.  This is because Prosperity become the center of attention and employee's goal to work as well as possible, but it is different in the punishment variable, because the existing moderate, light, and severe punishments do not make employees lose their jobs completely, but only get punishment in the form of transfers or degrading their rank.
